Rohnert Park Civic Center Library
Part of the City Hall/Civic Center complex in the heart of Rohnert Park, the new Library construction achieved a virtually unheard of milestone: the project was constructed without one single change-order for the mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The Library was recognized in the December 2003 California Libraries publication, volume 13, number 6, and the opening ceremony was covered in the Empire News on June 9, 2003.
The air conditioning system is a variable air volume (VAV) system utilizing roof-mounted air handling units. The selection of air handling units and all other equipment, and the design of the duct distribution system were carried out with special attention paid to acoustics in every detail resulting in an exceptionally quiet, energy-efficient system. Plumbing includes soil, waste, vent, hot water, cold water, gas and condensate drain piping systems.
